We proudly announce that YouSolar has closed the sale of another PowerBloc in Big Sur, CA, for $130,000.

The owner of the home walks the talk of sustainability.  The home is off-grid. It sits on a hundred acres of wild canyons and grasslands. The home has 2,500 square feet and was built to the highest energy efficiency standards.

The PowerBloc will not only power the home but also charge electric vehicles, electric all-terrain vehicles, and e-bikes.

Vehicle charging constitutes nearly half the home’s electric energy consumption. The PowerBloc will also feature vehicle-to-home charging, allowing these vehicles to supply power back to the home if needed.

There are an estimated 2,000 homes in Big Sur that are off-grid or have unreliable or insufficient utility power.

The sale includes ten years of remote monitoring.

Because the PowerBloc is the primary power source for the house, the customer was very interested in YouSolar’s remote monitoring, which detects problems before they occur, and includes the weather and solar production forecast.
