This past weekend, YouSolar founder and CEO Arnold Leitner took his kids and their two friends skiing into the Sierra Nevada. The kids skied at the family-owned Sugar Bowl resort while Arnold worked at the Heidelmann Lodge, a quaint group lodge owned by the Nature Friends.

Last Wednesday, the YouSolar Team visited Big Sur and Pebble Beach to see two new project sites. Fallen trees were everywhere. Utility crews were still at work. Power was out for five days along the legendary 17 Mile Drive in Pebble Beach.

Hundreds of Thousands Without Power in California
The big storm that hit California and the Pacific Northwest this past weekend has left hundreds of thousands of customers without power. Three of YouSolar’s customers who lost utility power late afternoon yesterday are now living their lives independently – of utility power. In fact, these customers did not even notice that the grid went out.
We Did It Again
