A Closer Look | The PowerBloc Explained
The PowerBloc is a modular high-power system. All energy sources, including solar, utility, generator and soon EV energy, blend seamlessly on its 400 V direct current bus. That energy is stored in the PowerBloc’s Energy Batteries and Power Batteries. The Energy Batteries provide “deep” storage while the Power Batteries boost power and deliver 600 V to the inverter.

The graphic above shows some of the functional units of a PowerBloc.
Controller and Solar Input Module. This module controls the PowerBloc and integrates 20 kW of solar.
20 kWh Energy Storage. This group of 4 batteries has 20 kWh of energy storage. It is managed by a bi-directional converter and connects to the 400 V energy bus. The cabinet shown here has 2 x 20 = 40 kWh of storage.
30kWh Power Battery. This group of 6 batteries has 30 kWh of storage and delivers 600 V to the inverter
24 kW (1-phase) Inverter. The inverter delivers 24 kilowatts of single phase 120/240 V to the home or business. The inverter is also available in a three-phase version.
Utility and Generator Input. This module adds alternating power from the utility or the generator to the 400 V energy bus.
The PowerBloc easily scales. Some of our customers require up to eight cabinets to meet their power needs. Customers can add energy storage and inverter power. The PowerBloc can be customized to the solar or utility or generator power required.
Wherever there is a need for resilient and reliable power, customers can count on the PowerBloc to deliver it.
The cabinets can be assembled on site and the batteries and modules can be hand-installed. This allows YouSolar to deliver and install high-power systems without the need of forklifts or cranes. Loading the batteries and modules is plug-and-play.
YouSolar can deliver and install a PowerBloc where other high-power systems require forklifts or cranes, or simply cannot go.
