A Breakdown of Our Success
When we founded YouSolar, the burning question on our minds was: “If the sun shines everywhere, then why does solar power not power every home?”
Easy to assemble by one person and stunningly beautiful with clean lines: PowerBloc® cabinets at a customer in Wooden Valley, CA.
To answer this question, we thought of all the requirements for a solution to break down every barrier to solar energy and take it everywhere.
Here is an example: PowerBloc’s breakdown cabinet. The requirement was that one person could install a PowerBloc cabinet with no special tools. That means one person can easily carry the parts, no helper is required, and the tools for the installation are commonly available.
The GIF below shows how the PowerBloc cabinets are assembled. You can see the ease of installation of a PowerBloc.
We send the PowerBloc’s base ahead of time. Once it is bolted to the floor, you only need one hex key to add the back, side panels, hood, and door. (Here, the cabinet is shown with all modules loaded.)
