Team Member Profile | Marcus Saye, Mechanical Engineer
YouSolar welcomes Marcus Saye, our newest team member.
Marcus, a mechanical engineer, will work on the modules and cabinets of the PowerBloc. We pay a lot of attention to the functionality and aesthetics of the PowerBloc, and Marcus will make the PowerBloc even easier to install and operate.
Marcus was born in Texas but never wore a hat. His parents moved around the globe with time spent from Kazakhstan to Bali. Eventually, Marcus attended high school in Singapore, where he lived for six years.
He then attended Imperial College in London, where he graduated with a masters in mechanical engineering. After a stint in Formula 1, we find Marcus as a climbing bum living out of his van in Australia for a few months.

We had been looking for a mechanical engineer for some time. Marcus was recommended to us by one of our team members. A Zoom call later, the offer was made, and the flight was purchased. Marcus started in Santa Clara, California, yesterday.
The world is definitely not flat, but interest in building a better world is universal.
We are excited for Marcus to be part of our team and can’t wait to hear his Big Wall stories from Yosemite when he is not designing the PowerBloc.
