The End of Magical Thinking | Building Real Products for the Real World

In a recent New York Times article about the crypto collapse, Harvard finance professor Mihir Desai bashes the techno-utopianism and exclusive emphasis on positive outcomes that has infected American capitalism. The result of what Desai calls “Magical Thinking” has led to the latest “tech” bubble that began to deflate in 2022.

At YouSolar, we are not utopians, but we are techno-optimists.

We are in the business of combating climate change, providing resilience, and democratizing access to electricity. We believe strongly that the right technology is the key to solving these problems. But we are not building this company on the “Magical Thinking” that pumped up many companies, only to see their story and share prices deflate.

We focus on only one thing: building the ultimate independent power system.

We are creating the PowerBloc with talent, rigor, and imagination, but we are firmly rooted on the floor of reality. We do not promise the Moon or Mars, only reliable and clean power.

Planet Earth is real. Only real solutions will drive the energy transformation. Data, apps and novel business models can support this transformation, but only investment in “hard tech” will ultimately enable it.

If you are ready for “Realistic Thinking”, we invite you to support our mission by investing in YouSolar.
